چکیده
As a typical green production technology, straw return affects environmental pollution control and waste recycling. However, in reality, farmers are not active returning to the field. This study constructed theoretical analysis of farmers’ straw-returning behavior under conditions labor aging, socialization service, regulation. Based on survey data from 540 households Province Sichuan, we empirically relationship between aging by using binary logistic regression model explore moderating effects service regulation behavior. The results show that: (1) Aging laborers rural constitute higher proportion, accounting for 29% household force. there is limited enthusiasm among adopt field, with only 65% adopting this technology. (2) hinders Specifically, other fixed conditions, decreases 0.647 units when increases one unit. (3) Socialization services economic incentives can mitigate adverse behavior, while mandatory constraints do not. (4) heterogeneity shows that has stronger inhibitory effect land scale lower than average level area plain.

Outsourcing Agricultural Production: Evidence from Rice Farmers in Zhejiang Province
China has recorded positive growth rates of grain production for the past eleven consecutive years. This is a remarkable accomplishment given that China's rapid industrialization and urbanization has led to a vast reduction of arable land and agricultural labor to non-agricultural sectors. While there are many factors contributing to this happy outcome, one potential contributing factor that ha...

Does Off-Farm Labor Relax Farmers’ Credit Constraints? Evidence from Longitudinal Data for Vietnam We examine the relationship between participation in non-agricultural labor activities and farming production decisions, focusing on the use of inputs. In particular, we are interested in the hypothesis that income from non-agricultural labor relaxes credit constraints. Using longitudinal data for...
متن کاملThe Impact of Traditional Culture on Farmers’ Moral Hazard Behavior in Crop Production: Evidence from China
To obtain higher yields, farmers may excessively use pesticides when they grow crops (like rice, vegetables, or fruit), causing moral hazard behavior. This paper examines how Chinese farmers’ moral hazard behavior in crop production is influenced by their traditional culture. A semi-parametric logistic model is used to investigate the impact of Chinese traditional culture on farmers’ moral haza...
متن کاملFarmers’ Risk Preferences in Rural China: Measurements and Determinants
This study measures farmers' risk attitudes in rural China using a survey instrument and a complementary experiment conducted in the field with the same sample of subjects. Using a question asking people about their willingness to take risks "in general", we found that the average response of our sample is slightly risk averse. Farmers' exogenous factors (age, gender, and height) and self-repor...

In these older, established areas of rice cultivation, wild rice is sometimes still gathered locally (Richards, 1986; Nuijten, 2005). It is often assumed that in traditional agriculture crops ...
